What makes HandyScoot® and SmartScoot® different from other mobility scooter brands?

Here are some of the features that set our scooters apart from other mobility scooter brands.

Innovative technology

Both scooters break down in seconds — no tools required.  The heaviest part on the SmartScoot is 27 lbs.; 29 lbs. on the HandyScoot. They fit in in most vehicle trunks and all SUVs, unlike other mobility scooter brands.

Adjustable Rear Axle and Multiple settings

The HandyScoot and SmartScoot are the only scooters that offer an adjustable rear axle with three settings. This promotes greater stability especially when used outdoors.  You can either transport the mobility scooter in one piece in an SUV or remove its seat and battery for a smaller vehicle. Three speeds allow drivers to choose a pace that’s comfortable with a battery indicator and forward and reverse functions at your fingertips.

Flexibility

Adjustable features include rear wheels, seat and steering column. The seat has a mesh backing that shifts to provide the proper support. The stainless steel steering column can be adjusted vertically to fit a user’s height. With many of the mobility scooter parts being adjustable, HandyScoot and SmartScoot are the leaders in providing a customizable lightweight mobility scooter.

Lightweight

This mobility scooter weighs about 40 pounds when fully assembled, but it breaks into three parts with the biggest piece being 27 pounds. Its stainless steel frame offers increased strength and durability while being lightweight and rustproof.

Removable parts

The seat and battery can be removed. And the device comes with a collapsible and removable front basket that fits on the handlebars and a removable luggage bar. With some of the most intuitive and durable mobility scooter parts, SmartScoot™provides superior quality.

Battery life

The removable 36-volt lithium-ion battery can take you 12 miles on a single charge. It only takes 5 hours to initially charge and about an hour each time thereafter. You don’t even have to remove it to do so – compared to mobility scooter brands that require some disassembly to charge.
